Are 6.5's possible in front?
Hey guys, I talked to my audio tech.

I listen to a lot of metal, Tool, Periphery, As I lay dying, Animals as leaders ect.

He reccomended a pair of 6.5's in the front, I know the stock b13 has 4x6's.. But he said a pair of 6.5's in the front alone with some tweeters and a 10inch unported sub should be more than enough with a kenwood head unit to give me what I want out of my system.

Basically I'm just wondering if I there is any way to safely fit 6.5's in the front of a b13, without damaging the glass in the windows or anything else!

Thanks guys!

How did you fit them in? Did you have to route a section out for the new speakerS?

I think you could get away with just enlarging the hole with a grinding wheel or something

the hole is big enough. you just have to dril new holes for the bolts.

Yeah, drill new holes, or use self tapping metal screws. Just remove the plastic adapter that is used in the front and you will see the round hole VS the oval one the adapter has.

ALSO, the 6.5 up front should be matched with a set of rear speakers as well, and the sub couldn't hurt. If you want it to sound REALLY GOOD, you could run an amplifier on the internal speakers as well as the sub woofer. Good luck man.

Awesome thank you so much. That's exactly what I plan on doing. Amping the speakers up front and on the deck, on top of my headunits power. Then another amp and a sub in back.

Double amplifying is bad. Sounds like crap. Do one or the other.

What exactly do you reccomend. I'm a car audio novice.

but I listen to really heavy music.

all I know for certain is my speaker choice.

Infinity Kappa Perfect's 6.5 in the front and back.
Infinity Kappa Perfect 10inch unported sub in the trunk.
