If you are really interested in maintaining near-OEM comfort, then I would suggest that you start by replacing your shifter bushing and sway bar bushings with the Energy Suspension units. Then get a good set of dampers -- I would recommend Koni inserts set no more that 20% off dead soft -- and run them with your OEM springs. After you install your new struts, get a good performance-oriented alignment (zero toe front and rear with something like 1* negative camber front and rear (search for details on how to do this)). This is a pretty good balanced set up that when matched with capable tires is way better than stock. And still real quiet and comfortable.
Then if you think you want more performance and can handle a bit more harshness, add in a set of sway bars. I've had good luck with the front and rear White Line sway bars, though you rarely see them referenced on this Forum. Based on your concern about comfort and noise, only after determining that this set up is not enough for you would I go to considering upgraded springs.
Again, taking some rides in cars with modified suspensions is a great investment in your time.
Good luck -- you have many decisions to make.

Wow, thanks so much BillC!
I really appreciate all the advice.
Yes holy crap, I do have many decisions to make.
But luckily I'm not going to upgrade for a month or two, maybe more, gives me some time to experience.
