continous fuse for rear tail light burn out!!
hey guys, sorry for a rep. questions.

I removed my battery to clean out the battery tray, full of acid powder last Friday.
This morning, turn on the car, "no instrument cluster light or tail lights"
check the fuse, yup, burned. Put a new one in, "pop" burn like 2 fuses.
Is it the relay or what is going on?
sort of scared the crap out of me if other issues, I use this as DD to pick up my daughter, hate to get stuck on the road.

out of curiosity do you have an after market radio? If so I would look for an orange wire that is grounding its self out. I had the same problem and it turned out to be that orange wire from the after market radio.

I kept popping different fuses and noticed one of my taillight bulbs were dim. Swapped all the bulbs and it stopped popping fuses.

just take the radio out a little and locate the orange wire in the back that should not be connected to anything. I had to tape it off and no longer had any problem. Hope everything works out.

on the aftermarket harness I bought for the radio , the orange and orange/whte indicate Illumination and dimmer though, that sounds right? So just tell them to cut it?

ya if the wire is actually being used then that is not your problem but most of the time it is this wire that is left off and tends to ground its self out let me know if they figure out the problem.

You are dead on man!

the speaker wires from the factory harness, power supply was not cap off. Must be rubbing, therefore, it fucked up everything else. The orange wire was cap off, so it was OK.

However, fog lights will not come one. The guy stated that it was rigged somehow into the harness also. Arggg!!! at least now I have lights.
