Thanks for the Adivive Isfahan. The way I see it, if im going to spend 300$ on a catback, and I get get the full system for 200$ more, I mind as well love the way my header looks when I open my hood.

Having a matching full setup is something I'd eventually like as well.

I agree the 4.5 inch tip is pretty rediculous, but I can get over the astetics of it, maybe the cops cant...

The only problem with the HKS is it's 60mm. How can I pair that with a 2.5inch downpipe/ header I own now?

If you already own a 2.5" header, why spend another $200 on replacing it? As far as I'm aware, the HKS would pair just fine with your header, but I'm not an expert. It should bolt right up to the cat, just like any other catback would. At 60mm, it is the perfect size for your mods. 2.5" is too big for a non-cammed N/A DE. The HKS also sounds really nice, according to people who have had them, who knows what the Megan is like? I'm not saying go with the HKS, but maybe look around a bit and see what people are running. What header do you currently have that's 2.5"?

Thanks a lot brother!! I really value your input.

I've got a full pacesetter 2.5 system on my car. So pacesetter header.

The reason I was thinking of the entire megan system, is because I wanted a matching exhaust system. But I can always think about that later and just get a catback for now.

Some people like the Megan, some don't. Haven't gotten enough info..

I'm running catless btw

dude seriously the brands matching dont mean shit, the pace setter headers blow donkey.. and screw spending that much on a megan exhaust that will make your car sound like a hoduh..

Mandrel Exhaust Systems - Featuring Mandrel Bends - Catback, Downpipe

go there they will have what you need an you wont pay half what that shitty megan system costs..

edit i notice the megan system is 350 shipped so i take that back.. but it would still be cheaper to go to that site an get it there.. i just got 2 systems from there..

Hey thanks a lot man!!
So basically your suggesting I order a 2.5 inch tubing kit from this company?

if 2.5 is what you want then yes.. you can also add a resonator on which will help with the raspy sound..

So basically I'd have to find a resonator, a catalytic converter and a muffler, then just get a tubing kit and have it all welded together at a shop?

no just order the whole thing from them, they will do whatever magnaflow or vibrant muffler you want then tell them to put a resonator on it also.. it will come ready to bolt on..

Look at ShawnB's build thread for the muffler he is using. Quite a few forum members like it and it has a stealthy look and a good quiet sound. If you are going to stay N/A DE, you might want to think about going 2.25" for the catback. From what I understand that is the best size for the flow vs backpressure needs for that engine. Keep the headers for now (look for some used ones on the forum that are actually decent), get a new cat, and have that company, or VRS, hook you up with the catback in the size you need, the resonator, and maybe the muffler. I have the 2.5" SS catback from VRS (2.5" because I will soon be going VE) and the magnaflow muffler it came with was way too loud. There are plenty of exhaust threads with a lot of options, I suggest looking around.
