Need Help Please
I'm trying to install my 2.5 inch pacesetter header. My exhaust studs keep breaking flush with the head of the engine. I have drill bits to pull the halves out but my bits keep breaking. Usually takes three broken bits to wallow out one exhaust stud.

Are there any more effective ways to remove these broken stud pieces?
Should I just get all new studs and replace them.. If so which studs?

I could get OEM nissan studs from Courtesy Nissan.
But either way, I still need a more efficient way of removing the broken studs.

Thanks a lot.

Titanium drill bits are the absolute best for this. I broke a PP bolt off and took it out quick with nothing but the drill bit. I don't know about the studs though, I need 1 also...

By the way, that header sucks
(I have it)

Thanks for the advice.

It's a full 2.5inch pacesetter system, is that really that bad?

I figured since it's all one size all at least see some HP and torque gains..
It's at least an upgrade right...? lol

sorry I'm just worried.

It's my first car, and my first aftermarket exhaust.

I'm just messing with you man you can expect to see 5-7whp with the header.

You have the pacesetter catback as well?

Oh also I forgot. You want to start off with a smaller drill bit to start off the hole then the one you need. The small one might be enough.

Brotha get a punch from home depot that's spring loaded drill a hole now in the middle with a 1/4inch bit half inch deep.then use a bolt extracter. Its reverse thread so all you have to do is put your drill in reverse.the extracter will tighten in your hole that you made and the stud will come out.i just extracted my stud doing the same project.were you able to connect the egr pipe?

When drilling holes you wanna keep your bit straight and deliver strong enough pressure so you won't get caught and break them and a constant speed. Spray those studs with wd40 or pbblaster night before.use wd40 while drilling the hole also to prevent catching

Yeah I've got the entire Pacesetter catback, how does it sound brother?

By the way, did either of you guys replace the studs with aftermarket studs, or did you just leave the oem ones in.
