Turbo ser tire choices
I would like to hear from those that have run on b14 wheels with tires that can handle 300-400hp. I'm in need of a good drag radial for my b13 with b14 wheels. What size tires can i run and what brand is best. Right now im looking at getting bfg drag radials at 225/50/15. Current set up as fallows.
Sc52 on a stock det
Large fmic with 2.5 cold side to 3 hot side piping
Blow through z32 maf with jw ecu backed by a safc
Top feed 72lb injector w/ rail, gauge, afpr and 255 pump.
3 inch exhaust from turbo back
Car has pro thane mounts and suspension.

Car runs and pulls great at 12psi low boost and 18psi high boost.
On stock rims and tires the car runs mid 13s at 110mph and I want to see 12s before I work over the head. Thanks for any help you can offer.

i was using a set of bfg 225 50 15 drag radials on b14 se-r wheels, but i couldnt get them to hook worth a darn on the streets, they seemed to hook up in second and on at the strip with pressure dropped

Ok thanks so should I just save my $ and get slicks or are the DRs a good starting point?
Anyone else have advice?

^ this is what my vet will be running. I have tried azenis and rs-2 and neither could get traction below 3rd gear. Alignment will also play a huge roll in traction as does the suspension itself. I have addressed all of these with my current build.

Personally, I would only go with slicks.

I went to the track last weekend and ran 13.6 @ 111.6 with a 2.4 60ft. This was done on 205/50/15 basic street tires that I heated up really well. I would like to know if I will see better traction with bfg drag radials in the same size. I'm asking because I found some for a good deal. What times could I expect if I can get it to hook?

heating normal street tires will make them more slippery. of course you will get better traction with drag radials over street tires. if you could pull a 1.8 sec 60 foot (which you likely won't without slicks), you car is good for a nice 12.4-12.5 sec pass.
