Gonna Bang My hEad Against a Wall...***UPDATE AS OF 12 FEB 2011"
My damn B13 is going to drive me to drinkin'...
My Symptom: Start the vehicle, idles ok but when I throttle it up it bogs down and stalls or if I let it idle on it's own after about 4 mins it will stall.
Lookin for some feedack from you guys. My car has been off the road for some 4 months because of an idle/run problem.
After much research throughout this forum and conversing with many of you I eventually took the interior apart and ran my trouble codes off the check engine light and got a 34 (bad knock sensor) also knowing that a bad knock sensor throws the timing off and the one for a bad O2 sensor (forget the number right now). So, after I replaced those two I retested and got a 55 for normal operation.
I took the throttle body apart and cleaned it thoroughly, took the IACV off and cleaned it and did a continuity and resistance check to make sure it was working properly. I have a new TPS as well as a new MAF. New plugs gapped at .39, new PCV valve.
When I get off work today, I am going to replace my water pump belt and then start this thing up. Aside from the fact that I have to re-time the vehicle because I removed the distributor to replace the o-ring, if this thing still runs like shit I am gonna be pretty pissed. Does anyone have a link for TPS adjustment? I removed and cleaned each injector and have good fuel pressure. I got spark and good air....I am not sure where I am going to go from there.....suggestions?
