Not sure, don't remember actually. Your saying rev it to 3k's for like 30 secs to get it into timing mode?

How to timing

http://www.sr20-forum.com/naturally-aspirated-all-motor/2566-how-adjusting-ignition-timing.html

If you have to do it this way you may want to see if you live near someone with nissan data scan. I bought mine for this exact issue. Its so hard to get some of these cars into timing mode. Also it would help you track down your problem.

I have that print out of how to do the timing, when I disconnect the TPS it stalls and if I keep my hand on the throttle and disconnect the TPS it stalls after like 10 seconds so I cannot acurately time the engine.

Been there. This is why I bought nissan data scan.

PLMS Consult Interface

You can also disconnect the iacv and manually adjust the valve so the car will idle high. then disconnect the tps.

that won't erase an entire JWT mapping back to factory defaults will it?

no just the long term fuel trim, tps values and some other store info. Its not much. All of this is so much easier to do with a consult program.

OK, so the SE-R is now up and running. Here is what all got replaced.....

-MAF
-Fuel Pressure Regulator
-All injectors
-Knock sensor
-Fuel Filter
-O2 Sensor
-TPS
-IACV

It's hard for me to actually pinpoint what was actually bad but I know for a fact the injectors were in awful condition and I am thinking that the IACV was also a factor. Through reading fault codes, I know the O2 Sensor was shot and my knock sensor was cracked so it seems it was the culmination of many things....I cannot believe how much power I have regained. Thanks to clean_ser for helping me with the repairs as well as the sea foaming which worked well too. More to follow and watch for a video....

Get a new idle control valve. My car used to stall some times, I cleaned the valve but it did not work. I got a brand new one and it solved the problem. Good luck!
