did you notice any differences?

i did this over the weekend;
- replaced all motor mounts w/ prothane kit. I'm proud to say I installed all the mounts myself and did not use a press or remove the whole engine like some.
- replaced the transmission leaking seals(both side axle seals and shift rod seal in my transmission w/out removing the transmission. Including the sensors that usually leak.

Drained my oil and coolant in preparation to do a few things...

1. Replace my oil pan with aftermarket larger aluminum pan
2. De loom my harness to make my harness nice and clean
3. Upgrade intercooler piping from 2 to 2.5 inch!

Hope to get done before Spring!

After about five years of sitting in the garage under a cover virtually untouched I began to work on her. Did a few minor things last night. My goal is to bring the car back to stock as much as possible while keeping a few aftermarket go fast goodies on there. Next big job is to pull the engine and make her run! But for now here is what I did.

1. Installed new rubber muffler hangers after my $hitty KartBoy hangers disintegrated into mush. These are made by Walker and are a solid piece. Keeps the muffler right in it's place like the TartBoy ones did when they were new.

2. Cleaned her up a little. Got rid of all the spiderwebs everywhere. Of course being CleanSER I gave her a quick waxing. Look at that shine on the hood!

3. This "cut line" behind the front wheel has always been one of my favorite design elements on the b13. (Notice the extra "track rubber" on the tires from the last track day back in 2009!)
4. Took out my old circa 1995 Alpine cassette deck head unit and swapped an OEM unit back in. Much better. Not like I'm going to listen to the radio much in there anyway...

5. Swapped out my old circa 1996 white painted grill for an oem black one. The little clips were a PITA to do so I completed that part in my house last night. Will install today. I'm glad I never painted the mirrors and door handles white either. I'm not going for the Miami Vice Testarossa all white everything look...

6. Been a long time since I saw this view in action. I miss it. (Yes, that's a Shift-I programmable LED Tach)

7. Convention "swag" hanging from the mirror...

After two years of storage, finally a buyer showed for my GTi-R swapped B13. Couldn´t sell it because water pump failed and the wideband was dead. Now I have to fix it and hope to get another buyer soon.
Due to the stupid emissions law here in Mexico City, I can´t use my car fridays and saturdays, hence the reason for it to be stored.
Now sourcing replacement parts to get it running again.
