I did it because I hate the "rusty" look of the exhaust manifold, and figured I would paint the heat shields while I was at it. 500 degree was on the can... LOL

Regular old Rustoleum BBQ Grill Paint is rated at 1200 degrees F.

I cook steaks at 600 degrees.

I do believe that 500 degree stuff is going to smell nasty as it burns off.

changed the oil, exactly 3000. every time I change it it seems to be getting cleaner and cleaner when it comes out. 1st oil change was like tar, 2nd like lighter tar, this one, I could still see through it. hopefully this rotella t6 5w40 will treat me right for 2000 miles. been doing some reading, and I will change this oil out sooner than my regular schedule for a few reasons. detergents, and its film strength. it rates quite low actually, as well as its thermal break down temperature. I will be switching to Pennzoil platinum (not from natural gas) if I can next change. vr1 ranks very high as well. hopefully these frequent changes are actually helping to clean out he motor, from my observations it appears to be doing its job.

Finished up my interior setup other than installing the oil pressure sender and wiring that at my next oil change.

drove it to work, uploaded a tweaked tune for better idle, got home and found this on my front doorstep.

Finally got around to completing my interior swap from the b14 parts car to the b13. Front seat's, Rear 60/40 fold down seats, front and rear seat belts. Much nicer look and feel than the base model stuff that was in there.
