It's Panasonic head unit from a 99 Outback. I got it because it cost $7 from Pull-a-part! Plus it had a CD changer, so I snagged the DIN plug to try and fab up an aux in later.
I like it because late 90s Subaru interiors used the same/similar fonts and markings as 90s Nissans. Plus it had a little bit of red to add a tiny bit of color to an otherwise OEM looking radio. At the same time I installed those, I installed some Bose 6.5" full range drivers I got from a Maxima for $14 total.
Wiring is just like wiring an aftermarket. I had a harness lying around, so I just matched up the colors.
The OEM Nissan radio brackets were just slightly modified to make it fit almost perfectly. (I forgot what I had to do, but it was super easy and obvious)
The only downside is that the illumination is green, but I don't hardly drive the car at night, so eh.
