remove the teflon tape.Alot of sensors get the ground from the engine.( I know VDO specifically states this in the instructions)
Its a pipe fitting so it should make its own seal as it tightens.

Drilled the hole in the wrong spot. Good thing I got it from the junk yard and I still have the original. LOL

how is that the wrong spot? does it leak because its too thin there? I know there a spot thats ever so slightly thicker...because I had to do the first one I did more than once too..LOL

Fortunately I sorta have my own junkyard here at home...haha

I didn't figure it out until it was time to install it. The sensor is directly in front of one of the holes for the bolt. LOL It looked all pretty after I took all the Arkansas grime from the JY off of it at least.

How about put the neck on .....then screw in the sensor?

That was what I had to do. I was like... WTF??!?!?!! So I took the sensor out, and it was a bitch to put back in because it seemed like every wrench I had was too damn big to tighten the sensor.
