I had replaced the water pump with a generic parts store replacement (probably a reman, upon retrospect) and I found during the RallyCross that the shaft/bearings were defective. So I ordered a OEM-quality Nissan replacement and got it installed today! Thankfully the owner of an 18-wheeler shop let me inside his garage to work on it as it was seven degrees outside!
