@Echo2zz......did it make a weird noise at idle and go away when u rev a little? did u get the alternator at autozone? and check if the alternator is crooked a little because i think thats what did mine when i was missing a bolt a few weeks ago. i felt like giving up too but not just yet. my ve oil pump kit is on its way then once i put that on my de-t motor, its pretty much complete and ready for drop-in

No weird noise. The alternator I had I bought off a buddy. He said he had tested it and all passed fine. About the bolts, I have all of them in. Nice n tight so I don't think it is that, then again it may be a few MM off but don't think so.

My b14 shits the bed everytime I install a clutch, no money for a tranny,
B13 is giving me issues at the wrong time do to financial issues.

I'm sure I'll be selling the b13 how it sits. B14 should be sold Saturday. They both have been bad luck for me. Ask "HOSMER" and "nse-r413" honestly, it's the only reason I haven't swapped it. No motivation anymore.

I installed brand new alternator, as I am test driving the b13, it over heats, so I pull over pop open the hood, and as I'm propping it up, I hear a distinct hissing noise. When I look over to the passenger rear..... Tire is going flat. Smh.

Fans are wired directly to battery now, and I have one Ser b13 rim on for now.

Wow man, you are having some serious bad luck. Hurts just to read your post. Hope things get better and you get your motivation back.

Shesh, seems like luck isnt by your side :/ mine acts up here and there but always fixable little stuff, if its that much of a headache sell it and buy one fixed up already from a trust worthy member unless you like projects, then ur just going to have to diagnose it a lil more.

Checked on the SE-R this afternoon and it seems that the battery has proper shit the bed. Had to jump start it, then took it on a 10 mile drive. Pulled back in the garage, shut it off, tried to start it and click, click, click. It's back on the charger, but I'm not holding my breath.

Checked back through the service records and it was last replaced in 2004. I suppose 8 years isn't a bad run for a 75 month battery. RIP Interstate Megatron, you served well.


we had to finally replace ours it was from 98 almost as old as the car,at the same time replaced the starter, but it still has problem have been in oriellys i don't know how many times, looking into getting one from Nissan, or some where..

I agree sorry for your luck hopefully you will look into another B13 or B14, or switch it up to B15!! best of luck in the future.
