Dropped off the XE for a brand new Nissan fuel pump under a recall that's still open. F-R-E-E, that's for me!

I called Nissan Consumer Affairs to see if there were any "open" recalls on the car and they told me the fuel pump. They proceeded to tell me to take it to the Nissan dealer of my choice to have it replaced for free. Even offered to make the appointment for me.

As a side note, Nissan no longer manufactures the fuel pump so it took the dealer a week to locate one.

If I have time today I'm calling to see if there's anything open on the SE-R.

Its going to blow air, its under vacuum. It only should close once you get on the throttle and start getting into boost. If you pressure tested the system and it leaked that would be different.

Just got home from picking it up. Recall also included the seal on the access door that always goes to hell and allows gas fumes into the car. Total cost to me... $0.00

Thank you Nissan Consumer Affairs
