I grabbed some of those little felt things you put on the feet of a chair because that's the first thing I thought of. Then I placed them on the 4 spots where the rubber bumpers contact the chassis. Now the trunk stays put and the lever works again.

I'm going to find some black rubber ones to replace the beige felt. I am going to take a pic and throw it in my build thread.

I had a similar problem with my U13 release, I used felt pads for stools to build up the rubber bumpers, got new ones and it worked great again.

Breaking pressure plate bolts. Is the torque spec really 16-22ftlbs. Broke 3 of them already... Is my bolts bad? Broke one then looked on the forum it say 16-22 ft lbs then broke another one at 22ft lbs then another one at 16ft lbs... I'm sure my torque wrench is still good....

Gave her a cleaning:

(sorry for the blurry pic)

And also finished up my custom cold air intake:

If you look closely you can see the top of the air filter.

Here's a photo of it from the engine bay (forgive the dirty bay, needs to be washed this week):

It's a cold air intake assembled from parts from Autozone. Came out to about $74 and change. If you're interested in how it was done, check my thread: http://www.sr20-forum.com/sentra-se-r/54538-62-00-autozone-semi-cold-air-intake-pic.html

Just noticed you live in Pottstown. I am literally only about 20 minutes away from you. Are you going to the convention? Love to check out your car sometime. I don't see many classics anymore around these parts.

If you are breaking bolts at 20 foot pounds there is something wrong with the bolts or the wrench. The torque spec is correct.
