Pulled dash apart to put in new blower motor and while it was out put a new (working) lighter in, an nx center console / armrest put the cup holder and cubby back in, new headlight, turn signal and prepped new valve cover for paint.
Dropped tranny to change out leaking bell housing, sent out new bell housing to get the case welded. found out rear main seal was leaking also...
drop both pans because I had a shim fall down the oil hole while adjusting valve clearance found it.
I ordered new raer main seal and VE pick up tube gasket.
this came yesterday..(now waiting on the valve cover to get here)
finally got the bitch off the stand
replaced rear main seal
installed new flywheel/clutch
mated transmission to block
installed solid front dogbone mount
mated crossmember to block
bolted up a new rim to see what It looks like. Clears my wilwood kit just like I thought and should be flush with the fender with tires on. Pics to come later.
swap been completed for a few days now. did some errands and drove it for a few hours in traffic, putting some miles on new spec stage 3 clutch. on my way home, got some fuel and noticed fuel guage and tach not working, which wasnt so when i left the crib. great...
