stock MC, the pedal goes pretty much to the floor before the brakes grab (softly), so Im guessing it just needs to be re-bled.

Should I put something under the brake pedal to keep it at the highest point when power bleeding? also do I have the bleed order correct? it didnt make sense to me but this is what I read in a few threads... left rear, right front, right rear, left front

I would recommend a NX MC.

I concur, it sounds like you have air in the system somewhere. Running the SE-R MC will not cause this kind of issue in and of itself.

Your bleeding order is correct. If the issue persists, you might have to bleed the MC. To do this, crack open each of the 4 hard lines coming from the MC one at a time and bleed using the brake pedal just like you would bleed a caliper. Press on the brake, open the line, depress the pedal, close the line, and let the pedal come back up. Repeat until no air comes from the MC connection to the line. This is sloppy but will allow you to get any air out of the MC that might have been introduced if your fluid got too low.

I used to put a short section of 2x4 under my brake pedal to prevent it from going down too far and pushing the rod in the MC to places where it hadn't been for a long time. I don't do that any more and have not experienced any problems without the 2x4.

Thanks Bill, if it comes down to bleeding the master I will just wait until my NX MC comes in the mail this week & bench bleed it.

After bench bleeding, how do you install in the car without spilling? Does fluid not come out of the 4 holes until the piston is moved?
