Thread: What Did You Do To Your B13 Today?

Ok so im kinda new at working and installing AC stuff.
How does that happen?

By adding more refrigerant than the system calls for. Too much refrigerant is just as bad as not enough. Never put more in than the system calls for as it will make cooling performance suffer and raise overall system pressures and potentially cause premature wear and tear on the compressor.
If you are not sure how much you have in the system, evacuate it and the machine will tell you how much was removed. From there you can tell if it was over/under charged or no problem.

Just because it doesn't cool properly doesn't mean it is low on refrigerant. That is my biggest pet peeve with people not knowing what they are doing. They assume adding more refrigerant solves everything. Doing so can be dangerous as the refrigerant can could explode in your hand or cause other things to ass-plode.

Good info to know. I just reinstalled a complete AC system in my B14, evacuated the lines with one of those pumps and filled with I believe the proper amount of refigerant.

Here's a little clip of the muffler silencers I rigged up for my raspy setup. I do plan on getting a resonator put back in the midpipe ASAP.

So...I had some spare 15" tires from the wheel/tire set jingjing sold me.

I've always been curious what 15" steelies looked like on a B13.

Found these brand new at Summit with a 6" width and +38 offset pretty cheap. Of course I matched them with some hubcentric rings.

First off...I had some extra money, so this is a result of frivolous curiosity. This is definitely not a performance mod!!! These things weigh a ton, and it's probably got 65% of it's weight at the outside of the diameter.
