Behind front crank seal. Only applicable to ve and gtir. Same part for either.

As expected, perfect fitment and signs of the oil leak are gone.

This oil leak will appear as oil spray on the front cover, it doesn't drip. Only leaks very slightly at higher rpm but was enough to annoy the crap out of me and make me paranoid.

Once again that oring /washer is for ve and gtir only. This is not a de issue. Greg has recommended throwing it away if it gets messed up, but I've found it will leak oil. Not a significant amount but if you are obsessive compulsive you will want that thing in there.

I think I'll trust Nissan better than Greg...

good info. I may have this leak on my VE in the B13 SER. I have some spray coming from somewhere...like a mist thats getting in the undersided of the hood over the belts. Since my whole car,and bay was freshly painted white its bugging me. I am gonna keep this in mind. Thanks for sharing!!

Pretty sure I just blew up a fx500 about an hour ago. Car is now down and broken. Should be up and running tomorrow though if all goes as expected. No leaks, engine runs fine, transmission does not appear cracked. Fairly sure I snapped the rivets at the hub but I'll know more tomorrow when I get it apart. Worst case scenario is the transmission is f'ed which isn't a biggie as I have a spare ready to go.

Flushed my entire PS system out.
Blew a boot on the out passengers side axle, and spewed grease all over the fresh white paint. Put a fresh axle in,so now I need an alignment touch up on that side.

Btw... This was an autozone duralast unit, tracked down oem before ordering so I knew it would be a Valeo unit. Will reuse the cm pp if it's still good.[/img]
