Thread: What Did You Do To Your B13 Today?

1faster could you tell me the diameter of the pivot ball on a shifter?
I know it's around 1" but I can get my calipers on it.

Any 'ole shifter? I can put my calipers on the one I took out but not on the B&M...it's already installed.



If you can get your calipers on it, then you tell me! ...or did you mean to say you "can't" get your calipers on it? I can tell you that the B&M mounting ball (not pivot) is slightly too large to fit thru the existing opening and requires some filing of the opening.

I can't get the calipers on. What is the stock shifter width of the piece you had to file?

I'm too lazy to uninstall my stock one.

I have no plans of removing the shifter atm. The bottom ball of the shifter (that mounts to the linkage) was just slightly too large to fit thru the opening in the linkage. It wasn't a huge deal but it *did* require some filing. I just put my rat-tail file in a drill and let it rip...only took a couple of extra minutes.

Oh I thought you had the stock one laying about after you installed the B&M...

got 4 of the black ones in today



less than $5 each, and pretty damn close to oem style. grey is oem.
