If it were me, I would only get a car with the LATCH anchors. Sooo much easier getting car seats in and out. I believe they were required on cars 2002 and up.

As far as safety, you could go balls out and get a big azz SUV with airbags galore and plenty of "crush zone."

But then you'd have a big truck that's marginal, at best, in avoiding collisions and evasive maneuvering.

Honestly, I trust the trunk of the B13 as a "crush zone" more than the back of my 05 hatchback Civic. Place the seat in the middle and you've got a cozy little pod.

my baby moms drives a 06 altima witch does most of the family duties but i have a ser witch sometimes i put my mini me in just to go from home to grandmas when baby moms is at school, its risky and i dont sugest it, why take a chance unless thats all you can afford?

I went to the NHTSA's site and checked out all their data on B13s, and they fared really well. They even have pics embedded in the PDFs you can download.

actually we've got 3 kids an never really had a hard time with getin the baby seat in an out of the se-r, however we did get a g20 just to make things easier.. win win, both cars have ve swaps too lol

trust me.......old sckool volvo guys are insain! i love these things to death. i want to make a drift car out of one and just lay it on the ground lol.


Oh yeah! I actually learned to drive back in the day on my Dad's '90 240. I loved that car!
