Ok i have a question.I bought an se-r a month or so back.It isnt running yet but i need the seat belt part that goes on the seat. I was wondering if any of you guys have 4point harnesses on ur stock b13 seats. if so do you have pictures? i might want to ditch the stock seatbelts all together thanks

I used to have pics of it. Check out this thread, although the pics I posted have been removed (I don't even remember having an album at that site). I will post more pics when I get time, but apparently the Schroth or G-force harness is the way to go.

You should check the laws in california. They sell harness that are legal but, I recommend keeping your stock seat belts. Or upgrade to the b14 seat belts that are not attached to the door.

Yeah, don't ditch your OEM belts, just in case. I have a bolt-in 4 pt. Sparco harness in my car, but I never had a real opportunity to use it. At least until I swap motors again.

yeah 4-point harnesses are illegal to be used on the streets because they are not DOT approved. use the stock one for daily driving.

IIRC the only DOT approved 4 point harness are made by Schroth Racing

Schroth Racing Harnesses

Also in order to be mounted properly you need a Harness bar/Roll Cage with Harness bar , at which point it will become way more expensive than just buying stock seat belts

I have the schroth harness and I have it mounted correctly using stock mounting points as directed by Schroth. The harness bar isn't necessary for these belts. And yes, they are DOT approved.
