Mirrors are designed for JDM cars hence why you cant see out of them. I would assume you can change the glass. Search the old forum.

Spot mirrors work ok.
I found that if you can let off the switch exactly when the drivers side is out all the way.The passengers takes a second longer,so it will stop just short of all the way out. That will give you a better angle on that side.
You will have to try it to see what I mean.
First fold them all the way in,though,so they are starting all the way in when you try my "trick"

here is the trick to these mirrors i learned years ago. you have to use the folding mirror button and have the passenger side turn in a little and right when you get it in the right spot put the folding mirror button back in neutral. once the passenger one is in the right spot just push the driver side one out. it will click but dont worry it wont brake. BAM! you can now see out your passenger side mirror.

What about swapping the motors and the glass from the USDM mirrors the the JDM shells.

The USDM glass is physically different than the JDM glass. This has been mentioned before, and if you look closely at the mirrors, their shapes are different.

An easier fix? Just go to a window glass place and pay them a few bucks to replace the glass with the USDM standard glass. They'll cut it and use the correct glass on each side.

I had to replace the mirror glass in my M-I-L's I30, and it cost me around $40 for both sides.

does not work, trust me. the clips of the class is different that holds it place and you cant remove the rubber that surrounds the mirror without cracking the mirror. you dont want 8 years bad luck lol.

just do it the way i told ya. works like a charm when you get a it right. you get use to the image being smaller after about a week.
