Going on a diet.
Trying to get the weight of my car down. Ideas I've already had:

Pull A/C
Pull cruise related stuff
Add CF hood (the paint on mine is shot anyway)
Pulled spare tire and trunk carpet

The car already has some really light 15" Rota Slip knockoffs on it. It also has manual windows and locks. Is there a manual sunroof crank, I hear the motor is really heavy? Other stuff I can do? Who's got the lightest B13?

I bet the sunroof and the frame weighs at least 50 lbs.

Move the battery to the trunk, It will help balance the car out.
Remove the power steering. Replace the steering rack with one out of an "E" model.

More hardcore stuff you can do it

Remove all sound deading
Gut interior and remove crash bars in doors
Remove front and rear bumper supports
Remove rear seats, speakers and all trim
Remove heater and A/C plumbing and controls

Not all of those are great ideas for a daily driver but depending on what your doing it might interest you.

You got the basics cover now what u plan on doin with it like drag or time attack .Here is what I've done in my obsession with weight reduction accept for the sway bars as it's built for time attack/auto-x

-oddesy baterey
- washer bottle ( for track ) lol
-cut the webbing out of the hood and trunk 2-5 lbs est
-get carbon hood from fiber images (lighter from lack of webbing )
-carbon trunk if u can get one . Or base model trunk no lights
- carbon mirrors I'm using c-west and they weight about 8oz each
-cut the bumpper supports
- remove swaybars for drag racing
-remove cruise control
-by pass abs pump if has one
-ditch the fog lights and stereo bling
- remove exhaust heat sheilds under car
-remove the useless vibration plate on the subframe near the steering rack
it weighs like 4lbs !
-get a mezzerie water pump and ditch the power steer
-remove evap junk
hope this helps some . My 91 Ser weighs around 2100 without me in it .
