Need help with my wobbly wheel..
i recently hit the curb sideways with the rear passenger side wheel. I was not driving the car because the body was getting fixed (flipped over). The original rim was cracked, surprisingly the disk did not brake. Now that the car is almost ready i found out that the spare wheel i put wobbles.. like if the lug nuts were loose or something. physically everything looks right, what could cause the wheel to move like that?
Thanks.

The log nut holes could be wallowed out, inspect them carefully. Also, make sure the lug nuts are installed the right way (cone shape in)

Thanks for the fast response.... the lugnuts have the cone out... so i will check that out... besides that?
Also when i take the wheel out, the disk (without handbrake) has some play, i know it should turn like the wheel, but it has some play backwards and forward. The whole brake mechanism as well..

Are your pins threaded in tight or are they just retained by the boots?

oh man, i wish i knew what you were talking about, are you talking about the studs? and when you say boots, what are you talking about there?
sorry for my zero knowledge on wheel/suspension parts

Pins are the 2 bolts for the caliper bracket. They slide into rubber boots on the top and bottom to seat them tight. They thread at the base once through the bracket. Check those...

oh ok... i have not checked, but i remember i was able to move the caliper back and forth like almost 1/4" i dont know if this is normal. i will try to post a video of this.

could the bearing be causing the wobble?

When you jack that side up, pull on the wheel with all the lugs tightened. Does the wheel have any inward/outward play? If it does, it is your wheel bearing.
