Thread: CLutch pedal issue.

SO i searched and found a few things, checked on the car itself. I was driving, had some good heat here in wa today. Went to shift and heard a loud pop, all of a sudden my engadging point was completly changed, and the pedal wouldnt pop all the way back up anymore. Tryed getting home, and had to shift again because some dick couldnt get through the light when it was still green. No i have like zero pressure, it engadges all the way to floor. I have a friend coming out to look at it because with my back i cant bend over for long periods. Doesnt seem to be the cable, or the clutch. Pedal is still mounted everywhere? there was a very loud popping sound.

It sounds like your clutch cable broke. There are only 3 moving parts, the cable, the pressure plate/fork and the pedal.

Yah we finally looked, my friend was able to get on his back. Its partially broken, theres only a few threads of the cable left, so its jamming and not fully unengadging.

def get that replaced and you should be good, if you do buy another cable which im sure you will, go with a oem nissan clutch cable

Yep ordered a oem nissan from my parts guy at nissan. only 40 bucks for me . Have lynch coming over to help me put it on since i cant bend with my back at all, givin him 20 bucks to help me out. Just glad it wasnt a bolt ripping out like the one thread i read. Just sucks cuz he cant help me till next saturday, so im without my se-r all week, i could drive my 510 but i dont want to put the insurance on it for just a weak.
