Thread: Kamakazi paint job??

Do it Joe. There is nothing wrong with the Japanese symbol. That is still their current flag and is STILL the symbol on their self-defense aircraft. For anyone that figures it out, it makes sense and is pretty cool.

I can't put my finger on it, but for some reason, I don't see it the same way.

It's light-hearted.

It's a track car, not a DD.

The "enemy" (as noted by the 'kills') is Honda, so it doesn't make sense as a straight up tribute to Japanese Kamikaze.

To me, historically its about as offensive as the Confederate flag on the "General Lee." (remember him?) I know it's not a direct comparison, but it's fairly close.

Joe, if you go with it, I'd move the rising sun straight center on the door and the 2 stripes closer to the door so it runs from roof to rocker.

I was thinking of getting the picture I showed laminated and hang it in the window. Or if I can find a decal, I'll put on the roll bar down tube

i would do the kamakazi but keep it clean and not go over the top with it
