magoo, i to am a big fan of the swift gti. but i could honestly say that i cant see my self driving one. im gonna be 28, im 6'2 @ 215, you know how dumb im gonna look in a swift.'

i bet youll look dumb driving one also. now on to the mechanical side of things.

have you ever owned or driven a well put together over 200whp ve in a b13 ? or driven a 400whp turbo b13 ?

a swift gti no matter whats been done to it will never hold a candle to what a b13 can do.

power to weight is awesome, but you can get your sentra down to 2200 pounds. i know you can if i got my nx2k below 2200 pounds.

i say spend the money on the sentra. ve, n1 cams, ssac header and all the other goodies and your gonna thank me.

stratton.

Ive owned both cars. The gti was one of my first imports. They are good cars and for build quality id compare a gt to a se-r anyday. If you ridden in a ef hatch stratt its the same room in a zuk. Im 6 foot 2 as well. The first sentra i had, had tons of sentimental value that ill never get with the one i have now..the one in the pic is actually mine not a pic of one and everyone tells me its clean all the time but im not attached to it. Honestly i have a g20 five speed and thought of getting rid of the Ser all together and keeping the cash but the market is gone for our cars right now. I will not cut up my current ser because you dont find them as decent and stock as mine anymore. I would love to sell it to another lover of the cars who wont butcher. Im going to think on it a bit more.

Also stratt ive never needed a ton more power then my ser makes stock, i dont race it or race anyone. I run back roads and some auto-x and thats about it. The car makes more then enough power to get me in trouble in the twisties. Im not a mechanic like a bunch of you guys are and im so tired of my car not having fifth gear and theres really no noe around to fix it correctly. I wont put a higher geared g20 trans it i like the pick up of the ser gearbox. Ill ponder some more and who knows it could be in the for sale threads soon. So anyone who wants a clean stockish se-r with good factor air count your pennies if you want a clean classic

Wow Magoo, seems like you're not really into your B13. Hell I remember when you bought her a while back. Quick question, would you keep her if she didn't have 5th gear popout? Since cars like yours are rare they carry a different value all their own. I'd personally try to talk you into keeping it but I own 2 black B13s so I'm kinda partial to clean examples like yours. If your heart is into getting the Swift then go for it. I wouldn't do it but if you decide to sell the SE-R I'll just start saving now. You really should just either fix the 5th gear popout or source out a low mileage 95-97 B14 LSD transmission and keep her. No more excuses, get the tranny issue resolved so you can enjoy her again.

You'r SE-R is in very good condition. I would not do it.

I have driven a few NA and Turbo Swift's and I was not impressed for one and also the interiors feel very cheap (LOL even compared to a B13). Also the engine bay is very cramped.

If I were to deal with a car like the Swift I would rather put my time and effort into a Mazda 323 hatch.

the ser has way too many options to go with as far as mods, your car is clean and although the swift is kinda cool just not worth it to me

Sorry to mislead you..lol The swift is not for sale my buddy has 4 and wont cut loose on em. Hes a dam good mechanic and if i get the trans fixed he will put it in for me. He has a metro vert then ran low 12s with no cage and traction limited on street tires. He has imported cultus parts and this year its going to have a full cage and all wheel drive and jumping form 11lbs to 17lbs of boost all in a sub 1400lb package. The little car is brutal to drive. Its so small and quick its scary. Hes looking at hitting high tens this year...let me see if i have a old pic before built motor and stuff went it.

keep inmind this is about five years ago

This emblem was off a monte ss he modded it. Everything was done by the owner even the paint. Since it has chevy metro on it he kinded wanted to mach old camaro stripes because imports are usually hated at car shows around here

I am actualy into my b13. Its the whole economy/had a bad work record this year...been laid off twice do to outsourcing, no money to fix my se-r blues...lol. The se-r is very loved actually. I love hatches a ton thats the only reason ive had the thoughts in my head and everything works on the zuk. I appreciate the words Rob on the cleanliness of the car..as most of you know its h ard to keep them in this shape. My last one meant more to me for other reasons. Ill know by next weekend if im keeping/selling/or trading.
