What other hobbies do you have outside of the car?

That's the thing about parting out. I'd sell a few sweet items and end up holding a bunch of misc. parts and half a car. With no garage I can't even weigh that option.



I like to surf/skate. I have a garden. Reading museums politics/news. I got married about 6 months ago so there's a honey-do list. I'm a professional archaeologist/CRM so there's always stuff to read up for that. Which I enjoy. Then there's all the things I should do like volunteer and publish some of my Masters.

Today I got the car raised an inch and aligned. The toe was all fugged up and it had a ton of camber in the right rear. It feels much more balanced. I also opened up the plug gap to .032.

Next I'm gonna install some hard vacuum lines a mbc and the 3" exhaust goes back on.

Sell it and youll be regreting it. Ive just made the realization that its not a bad thing to have a few cars. Ones with cheap insurance and taxes like the Sentra and NX makes me like my NX even more! Keep the car. Your gonna pull a Stratton and change your mind!

You have a lot of hobbies and the SE-R is slipping to the bottom of the hobby list. Maybe you do need to sell it but without a doubt you will miss it dearly. Truth is if you are really into the SE-R you could find time in your busy schedule to still enjoy her because the drive is still a blast. But then the less you drive it you don't crave the blast as much over time, you just lose interest. I guess it's called growing up. I know what I would do in your situation but I still feel like a kid at heart when I drive my B13s. And neither is boosted. Good luck in whatever you decide, hope you keep it.

Thanks guys. The decision to keep it was easy. I'm with you on the two car theory Johnny. The only way the SE-R goes now is for something else like a nice S13 or S2k.

I ordered some new vacuum line and found some bits to re-attach the rear sway bar. Also got a cheapo MBC. When my cc statement turns over I'm going to get a few little items from Greg v and re-install the 3" cat-back. Then it will be ready for a tune.

ive been modding and building cars since i was 14 im 24 and i feel the trick to this is to always have a goal always want to to progress i in your built or make sure you are progressive with your car its when you go stagnent is when you lose interest when you start to stray from the build.

having goals like tuning,mbc,3 inch dp ect is good it gives you something to work for keeps you interested

Agreed on two (2) vehicles.

When I have an issue with the Classic, I just hop in my Tahoe and keep on rolling. That way I do not get aggravated by having a 17-year old vehicle that needs some extra TLC once in a while. Like the new re-manned alternator that just went into my baby.

I find I have much more patience with my baby, while having a dead-nuts stock reliable vehicle as back-up.

Hell, when the Classic is running, which is most of the time, the Tahoe just sits and collects dirt and pollen. I daily drive the Classic like a madman.

Do what you are doing, keep it working 100%, and use it to put big grins on your face.

It seems like I've been building the SE-R forever. Every time I got a pile of disposable income it goes in the car. Kinda starting to think about my goals with it.

Ever since I pulled the VE its been less fun. Initially I just wanted to try some boost while I saved for a VE build. That's when I met my wife. That's when my former company had a series of stumbles so the VE project was sold off for some rent and a few nice dates. I still would like to do a VE build.

I'd probably have a truck if I didn't drive a big azz SUV all the time at work. The Slowvic is plenty good for me. The SE-R has only failed to start once in 4 years. I didn't seat the ECU and the pin for inj 1 wasn't firing.

Got my MBC and vacuum line kit today.





Siliconeintakes.com and NXS motorsports MBC. BenFenner posted this one in a recent MBC thread and since this isn't a permanent solution I figured why spend a bill on Hallman MBC.

that should work fine i have a cheapo ebay mbc setup and it works pefectly fine. i coulldnt really justify the price either for the more expensive on
