What would you do next?
I tried to sell my SE-R recently. It's still for sale technically because I won't be using it a lot. Life and job are taking precedent but I won't let it just atrophy.

Dyno tune and fixing a few things are on the list this summer. So is (maybe) de-turbo and running Oregon rallycross.

Oregon Rally Group - RallyCross

Here is my last fs thread. an excerpt;

"JDM SR20DE (from Greg V at g-spec) motor and a Garret T28 from a GTiR motor. The turbo has 2k miles. It came bnib from a G20.net group buy. I fabbed up the 2.5" IC pipes and exhausts with some help. 3" VRS dp to a Greddy SP can on 2.5" pipes. The Greddy is choking it but looks so good imo. I also have a 3" system with Magnaflow pieces. You choose one or pay a bit more for both. Has kartboy bushings so exhaust stays put.

It all runs on a 89-94 Maxima MAF (setup blow through), 370cc 300zx/SR20DET injectors at 4-bar fed by Walbro 255 and a Nismo adjustable fpr. DSM gen 1 recirc. Its a Calum Realtime ECU one of the early ones. Conservative estimate is ~230whp/tq but it should be dyno tuned I just never got around to it. Runs fine on premium only obviously.

The suspension is a semi-custom shortened Koni/Ground control kit 380 front 350 rear springrates. 89-94 maxima front inserts and B14 front inserts in rear with shigspeed pillowball tops. Active tuning rear stb, Cusco fstb, and a Nutech rear sway with shigspeed brace (thats a pretty rare item) NX2k brakes, goodridge SS lines and Axxis metal master pads. NX2k wheels on Falken Azenis. All the ES bushings including st rack and both ends of the shifter, moog tie rod ends and ball joints.

NX rad, g-spec water pump pulley. 300zx rad cap. CS oil distro block for turbo feed and oil pressure sender.

Driveline is ACT hdpp Clutchmasters unspring stage 1 disc with a 16VE flywheel prothane engine mounts, Raxles, miko tranny bar and $.99 clutch spacer. Also has the Toolapcfan ground wire kit and an optima yellow that wont quit.

VDO gauge setup (oil temp, oil pressure, water temp, boost) Momo race wheel 350z pedals B&M short shifter Nismo titanium knob. Alpine head unit w pioneer speakers. Tsuru rubber floor mats. Oh and the front lip is from a 91 Mazda 626.

A full P10 rear brake upgrade is sitting in trunk, and UR 2piece pulleys.

Interior is very good to excellent totally complete but it does show the beginning of headliner sag. It hasn't moved in two years so I leave it alone. Driver visor is not in great shape but it took me ages to find one this nice. Doors have power lock wiring run up to the fuse box

The bad things; Will need front pads if you are gonna track it. They have good meat for daily driving but in the last half of their life. Needs an alignment and probably should be raised an inch or so. One of the heim links came loose and fell off the rear sway so its disabled. You will need to source a new one or buy another bar. Oh also has the weeping power steering reservoir but included is a B14 one."

I've driven it 500 miles in the last 18 months but looking forward to running it this year.

What would you do with this SE-R?

4/5/2010 Added a pic. Raised up and slapped the NX centercaps on there.

have you just lost interest in the car or you just want to get rid of the car beccause the lack of driving it seems like a good setu i robably would tune it on igh boost if you are going to sell it it will be aa good selling point if you want to sell it its always nice to be able to turn up the boost and have it tuned on the boost and not have to go out andretune it

Yeah it should be tuned but I never get time. I work on the road a lot and when I'm home I've always got other plans. The place we're in now I have nowhere to work on it which discourages me a lot.

Well I took it for a ride and wash at lunch. Man even after sitting for months on end it starts up perfectly every time. Every time it sits more than two weeks I pull the plugs and fuel pump fuse to prime it properly.

Still pulls like a crazy turbo SE-R. 2nd gear is useless even after I let the tires down. Any throttle input more than half and you can forget it. The Azenis hop like crazy. This may be the first time I drove on the Azenis in dry weather. Its only been a year.

Tomorrow I'm going to raise it up. I have an appointment for alignment Saturday morning. Then an oil change and the 3" exhaust goes back on.

same here i let my car sit for 2 months straight and go and start it perfectly really reliable cars i think, i also feel the same i almost lost interest between having to replace the exhaust manifold gasket, thermostat, alternator ect but everytime the car pulls and spools i get a smile like nothing else that gives me A SMILE LIKE THAT.

I say stick it out and see if you get back into the swing of things if you have time i have 2 kids and all kinds of responsibility but i still keep my car for me i could never get rid of it ever i dont think

Well I raised it up this afternoon. Its nice to have the downpipe a full 3" off the ground. The handling also feels better (like I knew it would). The alignment is tomorrow afternoon. A few items from G-spec will be here soon.

I hear u on the sale...im thinking of selling mine. Through out some info but no ones biting. I have a very clean stock car and the only reason for the sale is lack of driving too.
