Thread: sunroof issue

Anyone ever have an issues with their sunroof engaging when you apply power and keep trying to engage in the open position? I am not talking about FULL slide back open just the open position where you crack it open a little, think I explained it right. Please lemme know if you had this problem and how you resolved it, thx.

so you're saying the sunroof keeps trying to open even though it already is? As in, the motor is cooking but it's not doing anything? It might help to describe the situation.

I presume that it keeps trying to open while open without you pressing the button? Sounds like a problem with the switch. Does it ever open on its own?

Yes, when I disconnect the switch and apply power it still tries to open on it's own....having a hard time figuring this out because I don't have a factory service manual schematic. I know power is being applied somewhere so back to the drawing board I go.
