Got an update guys, I got back from my vacay and talked to the guys at the machine shop, and unfortunately the spacers still aren't done yet. I told them I'd like to have them done by next Friday.

Sorry guys, not quite tomorrow, but pics nonetheless:

I've got the complete set of 16 spacers and 4 lateral link rods, both made of aluminum, but no rod ends (order from Summit Racing) or protective boots (sizing TBD, but I believe the 7/8" size is needed, will confirm).

Now the main question, who'd be able to test them out within the next few weeks?

More info, here's the rod ends that I mocked up these lateral links with:

Right hand thread:
Summit Racing SUM-MAX12T - Summit Racing® Black Max Rod Ends - Overview - SummitRacing.com

Left hand thread:

Note that they're chromoly and teflon lined.

These should you run 4x $16 + 4x $20 = $64 + $80 + taxes + shipping = ~$180

You could of course use a different rod end, there is close to 1/4" extra room on each end of the lateral link before the rod end + nut combination bottom out on the actual rod... finding a cheaper rod end than this won't be very easy though.

As for the boots, here's Seals-It's site:

Now the RERS3 boots are what I used originally, and were a tight fit getting over the old setup, which wasn't as big as these new bushings. Though I don't have them, I would definitely count on needing the next size up, the RERS4 boot. The ONLY issue I could see is that the one side of the boot that goes down to the nut (the only side of the 3 that doesn't have the suspension bolt goign through it) may not fit snugly. Solution: zip tie it in place.

2 sets of these boots (which will give you 4 spares) will cost around $80 taxes in and shipped.

I'll be responding to PM's shortly.

I am willing to test out the links. I aware I am fully responsible if something brakes and wreck the car. I will pm you more info.

I can also do testing if need be, I am retiring one of my old rusted SE-R's soon to "race in a better place" so I don't really care what happens to it.

I would love to test, but I can't guarantee I'd be able to get to the alignment shop and have any substantial time behind the wheel in the next couple weeks. =(

I can just use the alignment rack and a lift at work if need be... last time I looked that part of the car wasn't terribly rusty although some of the lines running by it were close to rusting through.
