Thread: Any interest? Blox Parallel links...

They were happy to see that we have a good amount of guys interested. Communication has been weak but i'm staying patient. Hoping to hear back soon.

Not to be rude. But did you read my post? Ingalls already makes them and sells them on their site for that. They are somewhat different than what BLOX would offer and the custom ones that you could build. Go back read the entire thread. Learn the options and decide for yourself.

Im not trying to pick on just you. There already seems to have been some confusion on what exactly what we are talking about and who would benefit from them.

Blox FTL! I have lost contact with the guy I was dealing with. I am pretty damn disappointed. I am going to try and call/e-mail to harass him a little to see if maybe something can happen. Sorry to gas you fellas up. I was pretty excited to see these be made. I will see if maybe some strings could be pulled.

That would be awesome. I hope we can work something out with them. Unless they are going to keep this lack of communication up.

I'm moving along pretty well with my own control arms. Due to some unfortunate circumstances, I had to go with a more expensive, more time consuming but ultimately stronger control arm.

I basically have 2 designs on the table... one which I'd call a "drag" that's meant to be light weight, but not neccessarily the strongest arm, and the other which is meant to be used hard. The first requires harder to find tooling (haven't had the opportunity to look for it yet as I've been focusing on the second design more) and the second design requires a bit more overall work.

For now, I've taken apart my rear suspension, and on both sides, I had the front lateral link outer (knuckle) bushing sleeve rust itself onto the bolt, causing me to shred the rubber bushing to bits while loosening the bolt to remove it. Obviously, if the bushing cannot spin freely on the bolt, there's going to be some binding going on. Also though the rubber in the bushing is fairly low profile, it's still fairly soft and has noticeable give.

Some more progress, got my buddy Jer to weld the inserts into the tubing:







They're heading off to the powdercoaters tomorrow, and with any luck, I'll have the car back on it's wheels and ready to go in for an alignment by Thursday.
Should have an update by then.

Too bad I'm going to NYC for the long weekend and won't be able to drive the car (there or to get an alignment or otherwise).

Those are some pretty stout bars they are a lot thicker than I was expecting. Looks good
