Those that really want these are going to be tracking/autox their cars. I would want the extra strength with the adapters.

I'm going to use the rod ends for my daily
My point regarding the adapters is that if they're made out of chromoly, vs. tapping chromoly tubing, there shouldn't be much difference. But I don't know that for fact, I just know that the adapters are very commonly sold. Maybe because they make fabbing much quicker?
Another positive side-effect of using the tube adapters is that it forces your tubing size to be a bit larger, which may or may not be beneficial.
