Thread: E-brake cable SNAPPED!!!!!

So I am driving aggressive around a corner and for sh*T's and giggles I decided to go wild and pull the e-brake, I get a loud...."SNAP!!!"...... it pulls up with no effort........Now how difficult is it to replace these cables? How much is this going to cost me? I already can't find some parts for this car.

That happens to me every once in a while but I pull on the parking brake handle a couple more times and all is good. I figure something in the caliper piston has dropped back and needs to ratchet forward again? I don't know.
You sure it snapped? Did you give it a few more tugs?

I'll play with it and see what happens.

Is it really a PITA to replace the e-brake cable? I jacked up the car today and the passenger side was hanging on by the plastic casing that sheilds the cable. I am going see if greg has replacements.
