I haven't although I really have only test fitted mine. I sat in them but didn't really notice if they sat higher or lower. If it wasn't so damn cold out I would check one of these days.

Talked with my friend in El Paso last night that runs a Honda shop and imports a lot of "guey D Emmm" as he calls it, since he hates the JDM scene as much as the next guy

He stated that the Recaro's found in the ITR and other overseas cars are not custom sized. They are all standard direct from Recaro. The only difference they MAY have, is color/pattern and embroidery.

And yes, if you have the ITR Recaros, you'll sit a bit higher than with stock SE-R seats. Best bet is to not use the Honda rails.

I thought it funny that the JDM seats would be narrower than a USDM counterpart. I mean it made sense in my head but I wasn't sure about it. Its good to know that the seats will sit a little higher on the Honda rails. I think am going to get working on something that will hopefully make the seat sit a bit lower by making a bracket that sits lower on the inner rear bolt as this is the one that is higher than the rest when using the OEM Honda rails. If I do succeed I will let you guys know.

i spent about 2hrs planning out ideas on how to make the seat work with the honda rails. the two front holes fit fine, but what makes it seat higher is the rear holes. the bracket on the sentra where the rear inner hole closest to the e-brake. i didnt take the center console out but i want to see if i can custom make that bracket where the se-r seat bolts up to and make it lower.

if you notice on the se-r seat, it seems that the rear inner hole closest to the e-brake is not level with the rear outer hole closest to the door. then again, i found this post and emailed the guy to find out what he had to do to mod the wedge rails.

Recaro install

damn they look nice in blue.
but how much will recaro sliders and wedge rails cost me UGH.

I think I had PM'ed you about this on the other forum. I 100% percent agree the only reason that these would sit higher is because of the 4th mounting point. The one that doesn't really line up. When I eventually get the seats in for good I will make a replacement bracket so the seat sits lower. I would not bother with the wedge rails and brackets. I got a set sitting in my basement that I bought they dont fit the seat or the car... Legit crap.

No pics but the brackets didn't match up to the floor or the seats.
