Yes I have OEM Honda Recaros in my car. Actually I am shocked more guys don't do this. I picked these up from a local Honda guy for under 900. With persuasion from my trusty hammer and torch 3 out of the 4 hold downs fit. All you need to do for the 4th one is take the center console out. Unbolt the bracket that holds the seat in behind the E-Brake and fabricate a new one that sits lower to the floor.

Why not? I got my seats which are in great shape no tears or worn bolsters for less than 900 last time I checked the Recaro Speed seats run about 850 each and that doesn't include the brackets. Plus our drivers seats are passenger seats in JDM land so even if they aren't in perfect shape the seat you butt sits in is going to be less worn.

HAHAHAHAH!!!

Sorry, but I just couldn't help myself

As far as keeping on topic. Those Recaro Type R seats are wayyyy over priced. I really do not see how a used set of seats are worth more than much better brand new seats. Its funny how an almost identical set comes in the earlier evos (2-3) and can be had for hundreds cheaper (I will have to look up where I found my set).

I just cannot stand how Type-r and JDM can fetch such a premium

Anyways, look at other options:

Sparco Chrono, Torino, R100 are all very capable street seats (reclinable, but NOT FIA compliant)

(yes I know completely off topic................)
