Car wont start
SO i got a 92 ser b13 wit 101k....

I just replaced the starter about 2k miles ago and batter was checked and its good

even after i replaced the starter (which was replaced cuz it was my only option and worked)... i had to double clutch inorder for the car to turn on, it turns on strong but some times just does not click so i have to keep clutchin it 1 or 2 times and its good, now again today it wont start... it push starts just fine...

is it my alternator? or starter again?...

comments? questions? plz..

Check the cable on the starter maybe its lose and not making a solid connection.

Check all of your grounds. Or rather, clean all of your grounds. Every single one you can find. Make them shiny.

start with the battery terminals an the battery posts clean them real good, you can find a tool for this at any local auto part store.. then check the one that connects to the starter if its loose well theres your problem if its tight take it off an use some sand paper to clean the thing with sand paper or something.. then theres the grounds the negitive cable from the battery goes to a bolt by the thermostat housing make sure thats tight if it is take it off an clean it with sand paper too, some brake cleaner around the spot where the bolt goes in to clean the area may help too especialy if its greasy.

you might also check the other wire that goes to the starter also an make sure its plugged in all the way and isnt messed up..

something i gotta say tho, if you got a cheap auto parts store remanufactured starter.. well it may be bad.. even though its new it doesnt matter cheap rebuilt ones are crap..
my girlfriend has had her g20 less then a year (i got it cheap cause of a bad starter) which when i took it out it was the factory starter that came with the car.. well i put a cheap auto part store one in it lasted maybe a month if that.. good thing it was life time warrenty lol but it sux havin to crawl under there..

Yep, check the battery-to-chassis-to-engine ground and check the clutch pedal switch. Then continue on to the other stuff if that's not the problem.

If the clutch switch is bad, the starter won't even try to engage. When it isn't starting, try not pushing on the clutch to see if it does something different. If when pushing in the clutch the starter tries but fails to start the car, and then you immediately try not pushing in the clutch and the starter doesn't do anything, that would tell me the clutch switch is working.

how hard is it to replace this switch and where could you get it?

can you bypass it?

if i dont push on the clutch it will do the same thing, just turn lights off again same thing when i push clutch... (that answer you question?) any other ways to test it?
