however, the xe/se/e model sentras with the 1.6 are very strong little cars, you can beat the crap out of em an they ask for more..

Correct.

DiegoC - Please understand that perfect grammar, punctuation, and spelling are not expected. We have members that speak English as a second language, and we are not picky at all about minor errors.

However, we are mostly adults on this forum. That "text messaging short hand bullsh*t" style of writing that you use with your "BFF on the phone" is unacceptable, infuriating, ill mannered, and childish. At the very least it will make folks ignore your threads, at the worst you will be flamed.

You are NOT currently being flamed, don't take it as such. Lynchfourtwenty and I are merely pointing you in the right direction so you get off to a good start on the Dash.

Agreed.

DiegoC - Keep on looking for an SE-R, they're out there. Even if you buy a lower end model Sentra and want to do a swap, you will basically need an entire "donor" SE-R to do the conversion.

thanks diegoG, i can understand what your sayin now!! hehe

ok so down to business, shawns right.. you should keep your eyes peeled for a cheap se-r, one with possibly a blown engine.. or something, then you can swap in a new motor for a few hundred bux an be good to go... its much more expensive to try and convert a xe/se to an se-r.. altho it can be done.. best way to go about that is to have a connection on a se-r parts car...

alot of stuff can also be found on the forum for pretty reasonable prices..

that sound good to me, and i already found 2 se-r, but one of them has no engine and still has the tranny. The othe is jus completely demolished and it's not worth my money..

how much is the one without an engine? a basic shell with no upgrades (all stock) should be around 3-400$ you can get a jdm engine to swap in for 4-500$ not a bad price for a classic se-r

it's sitting in a junkyard, the guy wants to let it go for $600. I'm going to buy it on my next paycheck, and it's good because i want to drop that vvl engine. How much would one of those go for?

id offord him 400, honestly..

the vvl engine runs anywhere from 800-1200 an then theres shipping.. then you gotta get a header from ebay 100$ then a new exhaust 350$ an then theres some odds an ends that will be a few hundred...

you can run the vvl engine on the stock ecu but in the long run your gonna wanna upgrade to a proper ecu, prices vary...
