B14 1.6 clutch cable on B13 2.0
it absolutely DOES NOT fit!!!!!! FML!
I ORDERED a b13 2.0 cable as much as everyone says go with a b13 1.6 because its shorter and allows for less stretch and need for adjustments.....what did i get? a B14 1.6 cable...FML! so i was like "ok, lets try and see"...needless to say, now im b13'less! my thumb just cannot withstand the force behind the JWT extreme pressure plate. i tried using a leather glove to withstand the pain, and then i tried a wrench on the arm while pushing on the wrench with the palm of my hand. good effort, but no go! the cable is fully slacked out and the MF just wont slip on the arm. im no slouch either, im a pretty rugged guy. i hit the gym regularly. lol. always freakin something! im not a happy camper! atleast its not my fault or my cars fault....

Yeah, I'm running a 1.6L clutch on my 2.0. There is no difference between B13 and B14. I thought the same though, and was like, "F*ck it!" Then I realized that the cable was not let all the way out... I pulled on the cable itself really hard one day and poof, it grew several inches, lol. Now it works.

i got one by accident and it was so tight it wouldnt release my clutch enough for it to grab.. i could barely get the car going 5mph.. got the 2.0 cable an it works like a charm..

Hmmm, it must be a B13 thing then. But that still doesn't make any sense... They are essentially the same car (B13 & B14).

Yeah, if you read through my post, I clearly explain the clutch cable.

i ended up trimming the rubber gromet with a razor. the rubber "stopper?" gromet thing that fits into the bracket before the clutch lever on the tranny. i also put a floor jack under my clutch pedal in the cabin to give it just that extra extension. the cable is fully adjusted to the point the adjustment bolt is even with the adjustment circle thing. i trimmed about 2/3 id say. sorry for my technical terms! lol. i just couldnt press the force of the JWT clutch on that lever with my fingers. i tried a variety of ideas before i decided to break out the blade. it worked though.
