Have to bottom out the clutch????
Ok, my 93 classic i just bought, love it. but you have to pres the clutch down and the down some more to get the car in gear and shift but it doesnt grab till half way up.....so i dont think the clutch realy needs adjusted on how it engages......any ideas guys.

thanks, Tanner

clutch hardware would have nothing to do with the pedal height. it would make a noise i cant even imagine.

dont be cheap. go buy a brand new nissan OEM cable.

now go to a motorcycle shop and buy a "cable life" system for $20

install the new cable and adjust it untill there is 1/1.5inches of free play on the pedal. if you adjust it to tight the cable will shrink when its cold and the cable will snap from being over extended........ask me how i know.

check the adjustment. A lot of people don't realize that adjusting the clutch cable too tight takes away travel from the clutch arm. make sure that you adjust the cable out untill you can reach down there and wiggle the clutch arm about 1/2" - 1" back and forth with the clutch cable connected.

If that isn't the problem then it's possible the cable is stretched and needs to be replaced.

Lol ok,

so adjust too 1/2 to an inch of play in the pedal and if that doesnt do it a new oem cable and a "cable life" system.

thanks guys.

not a .5" of play in the pedal, you have to have that much play at the clutch arm. You should be able to reach down and wiggle the clutch arm back and forth that much
