clutch cable getting hard to push
i swapped in my built DET last year in june. with it was a new 2.0 b13 clutch cable. im running the JWT extreme pp and disk. it is a like oem feel...ever so slightly harder to push, but barely could feel the difference. now around 6,000 miles on the motor and cable, it has been getting progressively more difficult to push. like its getting tighter. it feels like its binding up, like it will snap at any moment. it gets tougher and tougher as the weeks go by. i had a friend push will i popped the hood and looked and listened. you can hear it where it comes through the firewall. i tried spraying some PB blast in that location and on the arm on the tranny...no effect. i literally have to stand on it to start the car. i chirp tires and stall often as a result of this problem. i know its doing a number on my clutch too! any ideas other than the obvious...change the cable?

This happened to Kimme's NX over the last couple months. Cable snapped about a week ago. I would have a spare ready if I was you.

I had a very similar problem. The jgy street pp took a dump making the pedal hard as hell, went through four cables in four months.

happened to me 3 times in 2 months. I have a competion clutch stage 4. now I make sure I keep 4 spare cables,a 10mm socket, and a 12mm socket in my trunk. because being stranded aint fun.

Order a 1.6 cable. It won't stretch as much as the 2.0 cable.

all i have ever heard was to get the 1.6 cable. as much as ive read about it on the other forum prior to comming over here...i can only assume you got a defective one or something(if thats possible even). emailed gregV last night...cable is in the mail..... 1.6 status! who knows if my original was ever replaced, but i know before the swap i had adjusted it plenty of times. that thing was like a rubber band! and now this one is seemingly junk after 6000 miles? cant hurt to try the 1.6 cable that everyone says works better.....even greg suggested it with the 2.0 cable costing more!!!
