Thread: POEMS TO BE WRITTEN... - B13 (Classic) Sentra SE-R Poem Contest

i couldn't get anyone to vote on a favorite, the year is almost over (this year is the 20th year anniversary)... so i figure why leave it up here?

I voted. Or maybe I couldn't because I submitted one?

Some things just don't get the attention they deserve. Sorry vqman. =(

BUMP! I like this idea and loved all the entries. I was lurking through the forums and decided to add mine which I sent in but didn't see posted here. My car got smashed on the freeway, it was a hit and run..still miss it

Oh dear SmERa, how I miss you so,
I always imagined, together we will grow,
The first time I laid eyes, you were like the simple girl next door
But as time went on, you set my heart aglow
Until wanting you became my greatest desire
After all these years, you still set my heart on fire.
I remember the first drive with you, and my never-ending smile
And although I stalled you hard, you kept on for miles
As days went on, it was so good to have you
Sure there were other cars, but you were the one true
Honest, sincere, and willing
I never imagined you would be so thrilling
Never asked for much, you were always giving
All the good times we had, and all those killings
Hondas, Alfas, Bimmers and Porsches
Felt like you were laughing with me at all those douches
Most didn’t understand you
They thought I will outgrow you
They simply looked at your lines
And said,” hmm she’s not that fine”
But that was just your shell
The way you danced is how I really fell
Your classic proportions getting better with time
Never the flavor of the month, you aged like fine wine
And you had the biggest heart, always eager to please
Sitting in your cocoon, I instantly felt at ease
Until the dreadful day I lost it
All those plans…gone in a flash!


And yes, I have a new one now
Her name is S2,
And although she’s mighty cool,
She’ll never be you.
Until the day we meet again,
I just wanted to remind you
You will always be the one
I know this much is true.

Oh B13
You're the queen of mean
Giving up your power
And then letting me down
Oh B13
When I'm in you
It's like I'm seven-teen
Curling down roads
That keep me coming home

My B13, my SE-R
When I was a teen
You were my first car
I bought you new in '91
Saw it in black, it was the one
You touched my heart
Every time we cruised
And as I added parts
That feeling grew
First were some Enkei's, RP-01
The look was boss but I was far from done
Eibach prokits and KYB
And all the goodies from JWT
A filter, exhaust, an ECU
Bored out MAF and TB too
Bushings, brakes, and ST bars
I've spent a lot on this car
But it's never enough- more power I crave
My parents often called me depraved
My dad's always been a V8 guy
Saying, "Why would you do that? It's front wheel drive!"
But when the turbo came and he drove it himself
The grin on his face spoke for itself
An F-MAX kit with a T3/T4
The power output was much more than before
But like I said, it's never enough
So I had to buy Coheed's stuff
It's a beast in all it's glory
But not a B13, that's another story...

Power and poise, suspension firm and tight,
a shape that looks good in almost any light.

Her clean lines and timeless looks
draw little attention from cop or crook.

She handles well and loves to be tossed,
always reminds me that I am the boss.

Senses heightened, grab the wheel,
Pedal to pedal, toe to heel
1st gear 2nd gear, 3rd gear GO!
Faster, faster, never slow.

Drive her hard and put her away wet,
no reason to fear, she forgives and forgets.

But if ever comes the day you must let her go,
regret will surface and surely grow.

I need not remind you this is no ordinary car,
we know it, we love it, our SE-R.

So, when are we sending these in to Car and Driver so they can publish a few they like?
