My '93 SE-R trunk lid weighed 32.5 lbs (including spoiler), trunk support rods ~1.5 lbs.
Carbon fiber trunk lid (no spoiler) 13 lbs (group buy from 2005).

For reference, stock hood was 31 lbs, cf hood 8 lbs (2003 group buy).
44 lb weight reduction for CF hood + trunk.

OK I agree. But the OP was referring to the weight of the spoiler not the whole trunk. Is it worth getting a spoiler in CF? I'd say, no.

Another regional RX win in Cummington, Massachusetts this past weekend! Also did my first proper SCCA Solo event at an airfield which was incredible (and often three-wheeled) fun, trying to see if anyone took action photos at the event!

That's not bad. I spent an entire weekend removing weight (sound deadening tar and unneeded carpeting) to remove about 40lbs. Depending on how much a CF hood + trunk would cost, I'd consider it. I'm trying to get the car under 1,999 lbs with full dash, stereo, and speakers. Removed power steering, A/C, no sunroof, spoiler, all carpeting/tar, all seats, spare tire, jack, tools, some extra pieces in the trunk that held up the jack (support), everything in the trunk too (carpeting and sides, wooden thingy), roof handles, sun visors, headliner, ash trays, glove box front and a few other random pieces.

NO the car is not my daily driver, lol. Sadly though, the car is SOOOlO loud with the 3" exhaust/no cat/straight thru Magnaflow - I DON'T EVEN HEAR A DIFFERENCE!!!!!!! hahaha

New valve cover. Cant stand the red loom and red tape put on by prior owner. And 3 bolts are stripped that are meant to tie down to the head. Stupid shit.
