Well back on jackstands... but this is the last time she'll be on them... not for upgrades either . As some of you may have seen my FS threads the SER is being parted out, and the shell will be junked . Will make a finallizing thread soon...

could just be a rocker arm, they will pop out when the motor is over revved! get your magnet out and look for those shims.

I had this happen to me last night. One rocker arm popped off. Now I can't find the shims. Which means I get an oil change earlier than anticipated.

Of course BOTH cams are scarred. And I have no idea how to swap cams and replace a rocker arm..... So I'm stuck at my parents house with no idea what I'm doing. I have to get back to work Tuesday, in Birmingham....

Mine kind of is. I just got done doing the head gasket, now I'm working on a side exit exhaust and a couple other things. Going to get the exhaust stuff tomorrow.

Edit: My turbo blew up shortly after posting this lol. Awaiting turbo to be here on thursday to finish my car.

Alright, I got the head off, and to my delight I found the head of a screw in the combustion chamber of cylinder # 1. It looks like the threaded portion already got chewed up, and spit out. I have no clue where it came from, but it doesn't look like it came from my car (which is scary)

The head looks good, but the piston is a little beat up, however I think it's good enough to run, so sometime this week i'm going to put it back together. I even bought some Toda camshafts so that it will feel more like and upgrade then a repair

Why are you parting it out? The car looks in pretty decent shape to me...
