If i get headers what happens to pvc stuff
Looking at the engine and how the pcv is connected to the exhaust, when i get headers do i just get rid of that? is there a way to get rid of that black box?

The black box is probably associated with the air injection system on a B13. There is a valve and a couple black boxes right in front of the valve cover. This system is critical to reducing emissions. In most states, you won't pass a tail pipe emissions test without it.

A header designed for an SR20DE should come with 3 fittings in the primary tubing: O2 sensor, EGR connector, and AIV pipe. Most come with plugs for the latter 2 in case you choose to run without them, or to install the header on a later model car that does not have the AIV.

I don't know what type of header you are looking at, but the SSAC is famous for not providing proper location and angle for fitting the hard EGR tube, poor location and fit for the AIV tube, and leaking at the EGR connection -- you can fix this last problem with washers but you need to be aware of it.

The other headers I've used on an SR20DE (Hot Shot and Topspeed) have fit like the people that built them gave a sh*t.

Header
Billc, I too have owned both topspeed and 5th Gen. Hotshot and the fitmint was good on both. I know SSAC is popular right now ,but with all the stuff I read about leaks and poor alignment, I 'll stick with the tried and true hotshot for now

Sure. If you watch the classifieds on the forum you should be able to pick up a good HS header used. Do some searching to get some tips on installation and gaskets.

does anyone know what size plug goes on the ASP budget header? The plug from the nissport egr block-off kit is too big. need to know asap!

I heard a nickle was the preferred plug for the ASP header.

I believe that the only fittings on the ASP header are for O2 sensors. Use an O2 sensor bung plug or an old O2 sensor.

You serious about the nickel? Care to elaborate?
