Thread: bad rubbing noise

so my b13 se-r makes this really bad grinding noise, it sounds like its coming from the front left wheel, it sounds to me like its not the axle because it runs fine and i drove it 220 miles like this...had to...anyways im wondering what it could be, it only does it over 10mph because when i spin the wheel i cant here it

Wheel bearing maybe?

Hit up GregV @ gspec for a new one if thats the case.

check wheel bearings


jack up car, so tire is off ground.
try to "pick-up" the tire
if there is any play (when suspension doesnt move also) in the wheel , bearing is bad.

ALSO

check to make sure your rotor isnt touching the caliper bracket!!!!

ya it moves around a bit im pretty sure its the bearing. thanks guys.
