We might be on to something here. In the mean time, the A/C compressor is yours if you want it. It's a little heavy, so I'm not sure how much shipping would be.

As I'd said before, the engine is at least supposedly Japanese and not US spec, so I imagine that's what's going on. Here's a comparison pic I did quickly:

The port on the top left is low side, the port on the right front is the high side.

I followed the link given above by dmp316 and discovered the following:
1991 - 1996 Infiniti ~ Nissan: Air Conditioning & AC Compressor

Part Numbers:
Nissan / Infiniti: 92600-62J11, 92600-62J12, 92600-62J20, 92600-69Y00, 92600-69Y01, 92600-88N05, 92600-Y13G0

Applications
Years Make Model Engine Type Liter Fuel
1991 - 1996 Infiniti G20 L4 2.0 GAS
1994 - 1996 Infiniti G20 T L4 2.0 GAS
1991 - 1992 Nissan NX L4 2.0 GAS
1991 Nissan Sentra L4 2.0 GAS
1991 - 1992 Nissan Sentra SE-R L4 2.0 GAS

At any rate, if anyone is looking for a reman. one, this place seems to carry it for $144.00 + shipping.

I'll have to look through my pics, but the top one in the pic looks like the one I got from a '93 NX with the USDM motor and the bottom one looks like the one that came off my '91 SE-R with USDM motor. Those things are mixed and matched so often between the years, I have yet to figure out a pattern. What I would really love to know is if both brackets bolt up to the engine in the same way, so that any compressor with its accompanying bracket would fit any sr20 engine. And thanks for that link, I'll be using that before long to get a new compressor for my car!

does it really matter as long as u use the correct bracket?? does the belts not line up if not or what.. i know some of the fittings differ but there has to be a happy medium somewhere.. are you tryin to just get a a/c comp. that bolts to your current bracket?

I have that compressor on my car, an 94 MDM Tsuru GSR. The original one is gone, but I got a brand new replacement from the dealership about 4 years ago. This type of compressor is the real old type.

I got the compressor a few days ago and it looks kosher. I just haven't had time to put it in yet. I'll be sure to take some pics when I do so you can get a look at the bracket. Thanks! I'll let you know how it works. Could be a little while though. I'll keep you posted.

FINALLY got it in and up and running. However, I think the wiring's screwed, the relay's bad, or both. My dad and I managed to get it to be leak free and blowing cold, but we had to rig the compressor and condenser fan direct to ground from the relay in order to get them to come on. Anybody got a wiring schematic I could take a look at? In the meantime I'll be wiring up a switch to run under the dash so I can save my compressor from locking up.
