Need an A/C Compressor - Which to get?
I have a JDM highport SR20DE and am in need of an A/C compressor. The problem is I don't know which to get. Are they all the same for USDM/JDM/VE? It's running R134 but I don't know if it's simply a retrofit. Anybody have any ideas?

^Best thing I would do is post a pic of the one you are trying to replace and have the person you are buying from post pics. Best answer. NISSAN with crazy with part #'s and you try to start doing that and it will get messy. Ask me how I know lol.

There are SO many different a/c compressors for our cars it is not even funny. Make sure you confirm bolt patterns between the two and also how the lines run to the compressor. That is just a start. There might be other differences.

Finally got pics today. Damn, taking off/replacing a compressor by yourself sucks. I couldn't hold it up and line up the holes for the longest. At any rate, here they are. Sorry lynchfourtwenty, I don't think your VE comp will fit. I've got a JDM SR20 and the brackets don't line up just as Mr-4Door-SR20DET discovered here.

Wow. That does look like the one that I CAN'T USE. Is that the one that came of your car? This is very interesting. I would like to see the A/C bracket and how it bolts up to the block as well. We might be on to something here. In the mean time, the A/C compressor is yours if you want it. It's a little heavy, so I'm not sure how much shipping would be.

just match bracket and compressor to your chassis car. The compressor does change in 1999 I think though. So there is a B13 one a B14 one and a 1999 and later one. That is just from what I have seen with all the compressors in my garage.
